'Working On a Dream'

When the Journey Never Ends
As a Freelance Photographer based in Falkirk, my camera has been my guide for over 20 years. I’ve spent a huge amount of
time perfecting my photography techniques, and building my portfolio in various areas; Landscape, Events and Property, but
there’s always something new to see and to learn. I will continue to travel and explore, and increase my knowledge in this field.
Health Scare
From October 2021 to May 2025 my time availability for photography changed. I had full-time employment in a non-photography post and this impacted a
great deal on hours I could spend developing and updating my portfolio.
Then in May 2025, another life changing moment occurred when I suffered a seizure at home and was rushed to A&E at my local hospital - Forth Valley.
I was kept in for 2 nights before being allowed back home.
I have since fainted twice when attending events: a gig at the Corn Exchange, Edinburgh and at Five Guys in Glasgow, prior to attending a gig at the OVO Hydro
and have been diagnosed as having epilepsy. This means I cannot drive until I have gone 12 months, seizure free.
The importance of being able to drive to capture beautiful scenes; either very late at night or the early hours of the morning is so high, and this has
created a huge hurdle at this time.
But, as per the previous time that I experienced an event like this (suffering Viral Encephalitis in December 2002), my approach to life has changed. I now fit
in as much as possible and travel when time and finances allow.
My next long distance travel event is a trip to California in June/July 2026. This will allow me to spend lots of hours walking around the scenic spots in
San Francisco and catching up with friends further down the coast.
This, also coincides with the FIFA World Cup that will be taking place in various parts of the USA, Canada and Mexico so I'll have some time to watch the
matches.
Please spend some time having a look through the images on the site, which includes a new batch of images from a range of gigs that I've attended over the past
few years. This will continuously be updated with additions from the events I have booked for this year (check Future Events tab).
Thanks for visiting and please get in touch via the contact tab with any queries and comments.
Best Wishes
Mitch
